Abstract
In this study, the researcher dealt with the translated version of the international novel "Zorba" written by Nikos Kazantzakis. The researcher undertook an objective study to examine the topics of the novel including its social, psychological, and philosophical dimensions. The study consisted of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction, the researcher presented the significance of the conducted study and its objectives and provided an overview of its content explaining the approach and previous studies. As for the first chapter, the researcher discussed in it the social dimension, and it consists of three topics; first the society of Crete and its nature, then the status of women in Greece in general, the life of Cretan women in particular, and finally the clergy and their place in society. In the second chapter, the researcher examined the human self and its impact on the idea or belief, freedom and Buddhism, and its effect on the human psyche in all issues of his life. This chapter viewed many issues, such as food, women, dreams, death and sex. Finally, in the third chapter, in which the researcher relied on philosophy and thought in explaining the view of the writer on multiple issues such as religion, homeland, body language and metaphysics
