Abstract
A student center is a place devoted to student recreation and
socialization, serving students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. A
student activity center offers a variety of programs, activities,
services, and facilities.
Student Center contains lounges, small clinic, dining facilities or
vendors, and entertainment venues. The student center is often the
center of student affairs and activities and may house the offices of
the student government or other student groups. It may also act as
a small conference center, with its meeting rooms rented out to
student groups and local organizations holding conferences or
competitions.
The building should therefore be a progressive and flexible
environment for students, supporting their needs.
The project was chosen to create an opportunity for students of all
age groups to interact and meet outside the academic buildings, by
providing spaces dedicated to workshops and various student
activities.
Functional spaces in the project:
- Study spaces: open study space, quiet study space, group rooms.
- Various workshop rooms.
- Multipurpose space.
- Classrooms
- Computer lab.
- Library
- Entertainment space: tennis table & some board games such as
chess.
- Exhibition
- Cafeteria.
- Small clinic.
- Outdoor spaces.
- Outdoor playground.
- Administration.
