|dc.description.abstract||Our project is a smart greenhouse. It provides an automated,
customizable environment to suit the growth of different types of
plants. The project aims to provide this through a smart embedded
system that controls various environmental aspects. These aspects
include humidity, temperature, shading, ventilation, light, and plants’
specific aspects. The plants’ specific aspects include water irrigation,
soil sterilization, as well as the compost spray cycles.
Once the farmer determines the type of crop, the system will
automatically create the appropriate environment. Moreover, the
system will include some safety properties system to prevent fire
hazards and intruders.
The system will also support remote monitoring and remote control
via the mobile application.
The importance of the project lies in the automated environment
control and the remote monitoring of the greenhouse. It is not
necessary for the farmer to always go to the greenhouse. The system
will provide the appropriate environment for many types of plants
automatically, whatever the weather or the nature of crops throughout
