Abstract
Why this project was chosen?
The challenges the Palestinian environment face and our duty to reserve it and take the best advantage out of it, so my project was an environmental Palestinian research center that aims to develop the Palestinian environment and encourage people to take care of it.

The philosophical idea ➡
The image that comes across our minds when we talk about a research center is a boring building which doesn't contain any interesting element and the public is not allowed to use it so the idea of my project aimed to break that typical image of research centers and establish a building which attracts people to enter it in order to increase the awareness of the importance of maintaining the environment (science is for everyone), so the external shape of the building fits with nature, the earth crust was lift and the building was built inside it in order to ensure the continuity of the nature and the compatibility between the building and the nature.
The functional idea ➡
The shape of the project: the shape of the project was used to solve the building's problems related to lightening and ventilation, the slope of the ceiling was also used to arrange solar panels in the best way.
In addition, there was a functional division of the project since it was divided into two parts, part for the public and a part for the workers and researchers, the two parts were divided using a central courtyard. And the two areas were connected using a glass corridor.

>an area for the environmental researches (water, plants, animals, creatures).
>an area for extracted energy from nature researches (wind energy and solar energy).
