Abstract
As the world is heading to utilize Technology in all aspects of life; Robots technology have the potential to eliminate a great amount of monotonous work, provide assistance to human workers and serve in highly specialized environments, like hospitals or factories. The idea of the Project is to control a robotic vehicle using Arduino, Android application, and some electronic sensors and components to do several different things. The robotic vehicle consists of three modes, and can switch between them easily using simple Android application. The first mode gives the vehicle the ability to move on its own (forward, backwards and turn), detecting obstacles ahead and avoiding them. We can use this mode in the future to collect certain information in the area using some additional components. Also, it has a mode that adds to our vehicle the ability to follow you using RFID sensor and tags. In this mode the robot has a reader that can detect your ID .The reader scan 180 degree with the help of servo the 180 degree divided into five sections; each section defines the direction of the vehicle depending on the section with strongest signal. This ensures that the vehicle goes forward as you go; turns left/right as you turn left/right and when you stop moving, it stops as well if you only carry special tag that create electromagnetic field with the reader. The third mode gives you the full ability to control the exact direction of the vehicle. This mode is usually used when the vehicle becomes outside the range of RFID electromagnetic field. The difficulty leing in this project is in how to navigate from mode to another. And how we make the vehicle follows you smoothly using special algorithm to determine the exact direction of the strongest signal.
