- ItemThe Impact of Civil Instituions on the political participation of Palestinian woman project as case of study(2016) Ra'ed Yousif Ahmad Sanaqra; Dr. Julia Drober; Dr. Alia AssaliThis study aimed to identify the effect of the social civil institution on the political participation of the Palestinian women "The political empowerment of the Palestinian women project". The study also aimed to identify the effect of the study variables (age, social status, place of residence, the academic degree, field of work and the income), and to achieve the main study objectives, the study was performed on the whole society containing a number of (200) trainee, and (160) surveys were collected with an 80% percentage from the study society. The sample was chosen in an organized way. The following results were obtained from the study: The effect of the civil society institutions on the political participation of the Palestinian woman was the total degree of (3.83) and is considered a high degree; which means that the civil society institutions plays a main role in this field, and the political participation of women plays an important role in the long term in making the political decision. The study concludes that the political participation is performed by proving the woman's ability in managing the general issues, and the woman's education affects the increment of women's political participation, which means that as the education of women increases, the chances of women's political participation increases, and the chances for them in representing high political roles increases. The civil society institutions consider the women's political participation a first step in permanent society improvements. The study also found that the Palestinian traditions and cultures limits the women's political participation. Accordingly, the researcher recommends the following: It is necessary to work on correcting the visions that will decrease the chances of women's political participation, and to open the field for a real partnership in order to achieve social justice, which fulfills the requirements of full development. It is also necessary to work on expanding the range of women's political participation outside the womanhood institutions, which is done through showing its real role to the Palestinian society, especially the struggling role. It's also important to open the field for the women to participate in the NGOs and governmental institutions, and taking senior positions.
