This study aimed at identifying the extent to which domestic violence is related to economic and educational level of parents of private and governmental secondary school students in Bethlehem. The quantitative methodology with its descriptive and inferential parts was applied for its suitability for this type of studies. The study sample was randomly taken following the stratified way, in terms of variable type of school (governmental, private). The sample consisted of (1174) students from (16) Schools in Bethlehem district, distributed between the villages and cities of Bethlehem; it reached the rate of (18.8%) of the research community. A questionnaire was designed and prepared for the purpose of the study and for collecting additional data. The results indicate that there are statistically significant differences in the level of domestic violence according to the economic level of the family. The families with very low, low-bit and very high economic levels are more violent than the families with medium and high economic levels. The results also show that there are statistically significant differences in domestic violence, according to the educational level of the parents; the families with uneducated mothers are more violent than the families with educated mothers. The educational level of the father doesn’t show any difference in domestic violence).
