Abstract
The aim of this study was to highlight the need to increase the insurance awareness of the external public by focusing on the role of the Public Relations Department in the insurance companies Global United Insurance Company taken as a model to reach clear results on the effectiveness of the role played by the public relations department in Global united insurance And how to develop this role to increase the insurance awareness of the company's external public. The researchers noted that there is a marked weakness in the role played by the public relations department in the company, especially in the aspect of spreading awareness of insurance, and there is weakness in the efforts exerted in this regard, and through the results show that there is a clear failure in the performance of the Department of Public Relations in the company. The researchers did a questionnaire consisted of ( 19) questions, (5) of them fixed variables, (14) question included several axes in the questionnaire, and the questionnaire was judged by the competent arbitrators in this field, and confirmed its validity. The population of the city of Nablus, and the number was restored and analyzed statistically. A personal interview was conducted with Global Insurance's public relations manager to see how effective their role is in spreading awareness to the public. The researchers used the analytical descriptive approach in their search for its purpose for research purposes. We used the statistical program (SPSS) to analyze data, ratios and frequencies. The results of the study revealed that there is a weakness in the insurance awareness of the outside public of Global United Insurance Company because of the poor interest of the public relations department in this aspect and the lack of current and future strategic plans to deal with this problem.
