Remote sensing is the acquisition of information about an object or phenomenon without making physical contact with the object and thus in contrast to on-site observation, especially the Earth. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is an example of remote sensing. it can provide detailed information on scattering mechanisms that could enable the target or structure to be identified. This study aims to presents the methodology followed to improve the images taken by SENTINEL-1 SAR satellite and the processes used to cancel the noise that comes from many sources . In addition , The Sentinel Application Platform (SNAP) and MATLAB were used to analyse the terrestrial terrain features on the earth surface .Finally , this methodologies were applied to find the area of the residential places in any image and an approximation for the amount of water lost in Tiberias Lake (in Occupied Palestinian Territories ) between the years 2014 to 2019 .en_US
