Abstract
When I carried out this research under the title "The Palestinian Autobiography from 1992-2002" I devised a working plan so I could discuss the subject from all its sides. I divided my research into an introduction and four chapters. In the introduction, I talked about autobiography in general. The first chapter was about the development of autobiography in western and in Arabic literature. It was divided into five sections.The first section introduced the definition of autobiography and its kinds. The second talked about the development of autobiography in western literature. In the third section I talked about the autobiography in the ancient Arabic literature. The fourth was about the autobiography of modern Arabic literature, and, here, I presented some samples of autobiographies, (As-Saq ‘ala as-saq) for Fares Shediaq, (Al-Ayyam) for Taha Hussein, and (Al-Khobz Al-Haf) for Muhammad Shukri. هـذا البحـث الذي جـاء تحـت عنـوان فن السيرة الذاتيـة في الأدب الفلسـطيني بين 1992–2002 جاء متضمناً مقدمة وأربعة فصول وخاتمة. في المقدمة، تحدثت عن أسباب اختيار الموضوع وأهميته، ووضحت المنهج الذي اتبعته، والخطة التي سرت عليها، وما واجهني من صعوبات في إعداده وكتابته. أما الفصل الأول منه فقد أفردته للحديث عن: نشأة السيرة الذاتية في الأدبين الغربي والعربي. وقمت بتقسيمه إلى خمسة مباحث: تناولت في المبحث الأول مفهوم السيرة وأنواعها. وفي المبحث الثاني تحدثت عن تطور السيرة الذاتية في الأدب الغربي.
