Abstract
Traditional remedies are part of the cultural and religious life in Palestine. In this survey, herbal products used in folk medicine were investigated and recorded. A total of two hundred and sixteen (216) different plant species, sixty (60) inorganic resources, and fifty two (52) animal products were in use. Among these medicinal plants, twenty one (21) were used for their hypoglycemic effects, eleven (11) were used for their hypotensive effects, and forty (40) were used for their diuretic effects. Reservation of endangered medicinal plant species as well as clinical investigation of these plants is required.
