Abstract
The Mallah building project is built in al Quds Street in Nablus, this project was
chosen because of many reasons. Firstly, its compounds are sufficient since they
provide more living and working space for the same land. Secondly, the compound
itself has parking lots which can reduce the number of parking cars outside. Thirdly,
the storage spaces are provided by the compound.
The compound was constructed in the eastern side of Nablus city, it consists of two
blocks, with an expansion joint between them. The building has a total area of 6378.5
m
2
. It contains 5 floors; two basement parking garage floors, a commercial floor, and
two residential floors.
Many important aspects got covered in the project. Beginning with the project
description, hypothesis- Goals and objectives, main assumptions and proof of results.
This project has been chosen because it has various uses, which means different
steps of designing for each floor, and it. In addition to provide a safe and
economical design of all structural elements as well as the simple needs of the project.
The methodology followed in this project has been done as the following; Firstly, an
introduction about the project was written, detailing about architectural design,
elements and materials. Secondly, preliminary design has been calculated according
to ACI 318-14 code. Thirdly, a 3D model has been constructed for the two blocks
using ETABS program manual checks have been made. All of this work was done in
graduation project 1 which was just the analyzing part, the design phase will be in
graduation project 2
