Abstract
This project represents an integrated design for a municipality in the West of Nablus. Its strategic location to serve all categories of the city's population and its accessibility and given the importance of the municipality to develop and improve the level was administrative, architectural, and urban planning of the country. The goal of the project is to convert this building to near positive energy Building, also, achieve acoustic, lighting, and thermal comfort. This project will study four aspects. The architecture made sure that the building matches the standards in terms of environment and terms of spaces function, spaces area and special standards for people with special needs as well as general safety requirements for buildings and A structural system for the building will be determined and designed to resist earthquakes, and the building will be designed from an environmental perspective to be energy efficient using the sun and other innovative things. Also design the electrical design for lighting, fire alarm, and energy, as well as the mechanical design that will include sewage systems, water supply, elevators, and fire systems. It will also include a HAVC system that will provide comfort to employees and increase their production, and also the quantities will be calculated. The project’s methodology will be based on the research to bring the necessary Standards, information, and data then understand them then compare them with the project and results of simulation using the program, and then recommend the necessary adjustments that raise the level of the project. Among the things that have been achieved in this project, the first structural design was designed to be resistant to earthquakes. All HVAC systems were designed, and the electrical system, sewage, water, and elevator systems were also designed. The lighting systems were designed, and the building design was designed to be fire-resistant and environmentally designed to achieve all means. Comfort, whether thermal or lighting, complete acoustic design, achieving the principle of Energy plus building so that the building's electricity consumption in the proposed environmental systems reached 219 Mwh / year (50.6 Kwh/m2) and was designed Solar cells were designed that give annual energy of 500MWh /year, which results in an annual surplus of 280 MWh / year, which means that the project achieved the principle of Energy plus, and water consumption saving of 47 percent of the building's consumption was achieved and finally an analysis was made Complete building costs and the life cycle cost of the project to show the importance of good environmental design.
