Abstract
High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is an analytical technique that separates a wide range of solutes without restrictions in their polarity, molecular mass, or volatility. A device that works with this technique has been manufactured in addition to the use of computer software and sensitive and selective detection techniques. This device is used in chemical laboratories for research works, in drug manufacturing, in medical examinations, and it can also be used in forensic research on drug abuse and illegal drugs. The main task in this project is to manufacture this device with competitive specifications and high efficiency. There are multiple tasks of a mechanical engineer in the manufacture of this device, such as selecting the appropriate parts of the device, studying the movement of the fluid, drawing a 3D drawing of the device, assembling it, designing the final shape, and finally testing it. The makers' team also aspires to be the first to manufacture this device from A to Z at An-Najah University in particular and the State of Palestine in general.
