Abstract
The integrated design is important to achieve comfort in buildings, in this project
the project team will study a general administrative building for the education
directorate, which is located in the town of Howara - south of Nablus, the team
project will perform design assessment and analysis to the current building design
in order to evaluate whether it meets the international standards and codes or not.
The analysis includes various design aspects include architectural, structural,
electromechanical and environmental. Greater emphases for the environmental
issues achieve targeting a zero-energy building. The outcome if the project is an
integrated redesign for the existing building conforming to the principles of passive
design to achieve zero energy target. The area of the building is about 2500 square
meters divided on five floors, and the land area is about 1200 square meters.
