Abstract
Water is an essential element to the continuation of life and the development of all the areas of life such as economic, social, industrial, commercial, service and others. Water resources in Palestine are characterized by shortage and are highly influenced by Israeli occupation. As such, it is necessary to provide Palestinians with enough quantity of water and with acceptable quality. In addition, to prevent pollution for the environment among which the groundwater resources, sewer system is also very crucial. This project aims to study the domestic water needs, estimate the rate of consumption per capita, reducing water loss and find alternatives for cesspits. The study area for this project will be in AASIRA AL-SHALYA located in NABLUS governorate. The main objectives of this project are to design a water supply network for asira al-shamalya village to meet the requirements for the next 25 years. In addition to design, a new sewer system so the citizen of the village can use instead of using cesspits so this will reduce potential pollution and diseases resulting from wastewater, which will help to improve the quality of life in the study area. To achieve the aforementioned objectives .First, all relevant data will be collected. For instant, water supply and demand, topography, population and wastewater production. Second, water distribution network and wastewater collection system is to be designed by using the WaterCAD and SewerCAD softwares, respectively. Finally, conclusions and recommendations will be given.
