Abstract
Abstract In this report, the main objective was to construct an optimum solar pumping system for a certain area. Also, the Photovoltaic panels are used as a second role in preventing the growth of Algae by using them as a cover for the water source (lake next to the agricultural area). Its main point in this role is to prevent light to go through. First, the amount of water demand was determined by multiple visits to the sites and taking data from the owner. Then, based on the water demand the pump total head, water volumetric flow rate and pump size was determined. By using pump’s size (power in kW) and choosing an efficient inverter which has almost the same power as the pump number of Photovoltaic panels and other wiring details were determined to match the required size. Finally, a financial calculation was done to find out if the system was feasible or not. The result of this report was the goal to achieve, which is designing an optimum and feasible Photovoltaic pumping system that depends entirely on solar radiation when exposed to the light.
