Abstract
The Cost of quality is defined as the cost that is connected with the non-achievement of product or service quality as defined by the requirements recognized by the organization and its agreements with customers. The goal of any quality cost system is to reduce quality costs to the lowest practical level. The cost of quality can be a practice that permits an organization to determine to which extent its resources are used for activities that prevent poor quality, that appraise the quality of the organization’s products or services, and that result from internal and external failures. Having such information allows an organization to determine the potential savings to be increased by implementing process improvements. This project presents an investigation into how Palestinian industrial companies in the west bank aware and apply the costs of the quality in the food sector, which was chosen for being one of the most active industries in Palestine since the industry is showing a strong competition in the local market.
