Abstract
In view of the importance of the prevail of safety and security in the society and in order to give all people their rights and thus provide a decent life for all members of society, the Nablus regular court was chosen as a graduation project. The court was chosen for the graduation project because its considered as a public building serving all society slices either social or age and therefore the performance of the building affects many people. Therefore, all the systems used in the building were analyzed and the performance of the building was studied by comparing the exiting building with the standard requirements and based on that it was determined if the building needs to be developed, modified or redesigned. Since the performance of the building greatly affects the comfort of the building users and therefore the quality of work, the court was chosen to be treated with the best engineering ways either through development or modification or redesign and thus better organize of work within the building and provide a comfortable space as it's a public place. As the optimal project is the most integrated project between the different design aspects which means especially between the architectural, structural, environmental and mechanical aspects as a one unit, this point is considered as one of the main objectives of the project to develop it with the best ways through analysis, evaluation and redesign the building if it needs. The project was dealt based on a specific methodology, which is summarized in a triple loop: analysis, evaluation and redesign. The building was analyzed in terms of architectural, environmental and structural aspects through the approved engineering programs, represented by the "SAP" program used to analyze the building from structural aspect, "Dialux" program to study the status of the building from the lighting aspect, "Ecotect" program to study the building from the environmental aspect especially the acoustics aspect and finally "Autocad" program to study the architectural side of the building. Based on the results obtained after insertion the building on the previous programs, the existing building was evaluated and accordingly the decision was taken for redesign.
