Abstract
The aim of graduation project one is to review the technical and scientific state of the art of wireless sensor technologies and standards for wireless communications in the Agriculture sector using simulation tool COOJA. These technologies are very promising in several fields such as environmental monitoring, precision agriculture, cold chain control or traceability. The project focuses on WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks) like different types of sensors like Humidity sensor, heat sensor, fire sensor and more, and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), presenting the different systems available, recent developments and examples of applications. The aim of graduation project two aims to understand performance of RPL and come out with strategies for a better performance of RPL in mobility scenarios. Because of this, this project evaluates the performance of the RPL protocol with static sink and mobile sensor nodes. The network scenarios are implemented in COOJA simulator. RPL is evaluated in term of packet delivery ratio (PDR), power consumption and packet rates.
