Where a system was proposed based on the appropriate planning principles and standards in order to provide the necessary urban spaces to solve environmental and leisure problemsin the city of Nablus. The study in its methodology relied mainly on both the descriptive and analytical methods, through the available information from relevant sources, in addition to the information gathered through the field survey conducted by the researcher on the current situation of the green areas and spaces in the different neighborhoods of Nablus city. The results of the study indicated the shortage in the green and recreational areas and spaces in different neighborhoods in the city of Nablus. The results also pointed to the inadequacy of the presence of green spaces available to the population, coupled with a lack of sufficientgreen spaces in the master plan of the city, to meet the needs of the population in addition to being improperly distributed to the neighborhoods and districts of the city. The study recommended the necessity of considering the proposed planning system that is related to the appropriate allocation and distribution of green and recreational areas and spaces in the different neighborhoods and districts of Nablus, which will facilitate the planning and management efforts to be undertaken by Nablus Municipality. Finally, the study recommended the approval of the proposed planning system by Nablus Municipality and the possibility of implementing the assigned standards related to the allocation and distribution of green and recreational areas and spaces in the different neighborhoods and districts of the city, as well as the possibility of reviewing and updating the city master plan accord to these standards.
