Abstract
This study aimed at investigating The Extent of Applying the International Quality Standards in the Palestinian Local Institution and its Impact on Software Quality. To achieve the study aims, the researcher focused on studying the software quality standards of multiple institutions in Palestine from every aspect of quality, to decide if there are any quality standards that have been mattered while building this software, the study adopted a group of software development company to come out with an overview and final accurate result about software quality standards of the Palestinian local institutions that build the softwares and even people who use it.Any company that develop a new software or an open source software must follow up with the international quality standards of that software and so to be able to use it in both sides, domestic and international. The researcher decides to prove and improve our quality in the software by using these standards.In this study, the researcher visited many institutions from the Palestinian market that uses a software (software that was developed using a local companies) to build an overview of the used quality in that software and also visited the developers companies for that software, studied their documentation about it and compared the actual market results by the hoped ones from the developers.The researcher used 2 instruments to achieve the study aims, 1) a questionnaire about the software the end users use, how satisfaction this software provides to them and if its specifies the quality standards 2) Interviews with the developers of these software to take an overview of their project.In this study, firstly the researcher proved their final results to show it to any foreign and domestic party that asks for proofs that the software quality standards are applied in Palestine or not, Secondly, the researcher traced some native software development companies to make sure that they use the software quality standards, finally the researcher hope to deliver his results to all software users institutions in Palestine to let them make the choice of buying local software or to go universally .The study stands on group of key factors which been studied and analyzed later :* The software quality factors (product operation, product revision, product transmission).* The customer requirements factors.* The developers settled Factors.
