Abstract
Abstract The rapidly increasing demand on the usage of internet in Palestine necessitates novel solutions to mainly overcome the frequency allocation restrictions on the Palestinian's telecommunication field and surely to provide high speed and quality broadband internet services over long coverage range.  Where in Palestine the main sources for wide coverage internet services (i.e. 3G, 4G LTE and WiMax) are prohibited to be used by Palestinian telecommunication companies. The use of the typical wireless (WiFi) as a replacement solution to cover large and/or rural areas is not feasible and costly. Accordingly, our research project contribution will be through proposing, investigating and implementing a novel solution to the problem under study. Our solution comes through: i) the utilization of  un/poorly used low frequency (mainly, TV bands) for providing high speed and long range internet services and ii) applying Cognitive Radio techniques to utilize high frequency (mainly, Mobile bands) which are underutilized in rural areas .
