Abstract
This project aims to design a bank building, which is considered as an office building type. It locates in the northern part of Tulkarem. Nowadays, the office buildings become one of the most important consumers of energy in Palestine, especially for visual and thermal comfort. So, our main objective is to design an environmental and energy efficient bank building. In this project, has been take into consideration the architectural, structural and electromechanical aspects to ensure comfortable environmental form. To make this purpose come true, we will study the influence of the most architectural features that could affect our bank design such as, orientation, building envelope, form, function organization, etc. For structural design part, we are going to find out and compare between the different structural systems to propose the most appropriate one for such building. Concerning the electromechanical issues such as, HVAC, water, sanitary system, lighting and Power systems will be investigated and identified in our research. Finally, Safety aspects including emergency exits, alarm system and fire protection system will not be neglected in this study. Hence, for this project we will precede a desktop research for the literature review .Two case studies will be illustrated in order to see how such buildings work. Then, site analysis for our proposed land will be done in order to develop, finally, the Architect program for an project and prepare the schematic Architectural, environmental and structural drawings.
